The Season Has Changed

There are seasons in our lives when it seems as though winter will never end.

We wait. We pray. We search for some evidence that God is moving, yet the landscape before us may still appear barren. Then, almost imperceptibly, something begins to change.

A new light appears.

A flower pushes through the earth.

And the voice of the Beloved calls once again: Arise. Come away with Me.

Cosmic Kiss II is a meditation on that invitation. The imagery of the Song of Songs speaks of a God who does not merely call to us from a distance, but draws us toward His heart. The season of hiding is ending. The rains have passed. The earth is beginning to blossom again.

Perhaps the deepest transformation begins when we recognize that God has already entered the season we thought would never change.

There is tenderness in His invitation, but there is movement as well. Arise. Leave behind what has held you captive. Step out from the winter landscape and discover what God is bringing to life.

The Song of Songs reminds us that our spiritual journey is not simply about seeking God.

It is also about discovering that God has been seeking us.
